The Orlando Sentinel’s list recognizes The IIA among the best employers in the region

Since 2004, The Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) has consistently ranked among the best places to work in Central Florida. The ranking, by the region’s leading daily newspaper, recognizes employers based on “workplace flexibility, company leadership, career opportunities, community service, compensation and benefits.”

The IIA was among 100 companies and organizations honored during a ceremony hosted by The Orlando Sentinel on Friday, 18 August. Details of the “2016 Orlando Sentinel Top 100 Companies” were featured in a special section of the newspaper on 21 August.

“Our ranking exemplifies The IIA’s commitment to our most valuable resource – our staff,” said IIA President and CEO Richard F. Chambers, CIA, QIAL, CGAP, CCSA, CRMA. “I am exceptionally proud of the contributions of all our employees, and this honor reflects our ‘people-first’ approach to serving the global internal audit profession.”

The ranking was enhanced this year to also include a survey of employees, in addition to a questionnaire completed by employers. The employee survey was conducted earlier this year by Best Companies Group, an independent research firm that specializes in identifying top workplaces in the United States and worldwide. The newspaper’s ranking was formerly known as the Top 100 Companies for Working Families.
