Dear fellow IIA-P members,

Happy New Year!

We ended 2023 with close to 3,500 active members, ranking 4^th in the Asia-Pacific region and 13^th globally.  Apart from achieving a strong membership base, the Institute established two new alliances with higher educational institutions and professional organizations. IIA-P was a proud host to almost 700 delegates from 15 countries at the ACIIA Regional Conference in Cebu, Philippines. That same year, IIA-P successfully celebrated another milestone – its 75^th anniversary.  We are deeply grateful to our member volunteers and the IIAP Professional Office for their unstinting dedication and effort over the past years.

This year’s theme, Driving Purposeful Change, centers on starting with our why.  Purposeful change can be challenging and painful, but we look forward to working with you to make this journey successful.

In 2024, we intend to focus on our key thrusts, namely:

1. Stakeholders. We shall continue to delight and communicate with our stakeholders and provide them with relevant, reliable, and quality products and services.
2. Community. We shall aim to be recognized as a premier strategic partner for good governance and create a significant impact on society.
3. Partnership. We shall strengthen existing and create new alliances with the government, education sector, private sector, professional and non-professional organizations.
4. Continuity. We shall maintain and sustain our operations through resource optimization, effective succession planning, and commitment to excellence.

On behalf of the Institute’s 2024 Board of Trustees and the Professional Office, I invite you to volunteer, communicate, and participate. Together, we can drive purposeful change in and elevate the impact of the internal audit profession.
